#1 One for fall (again!)

I just learned that riddle #1 has a busted Comment area. Sorry all — not sure how to fix. I’m reposting it again so that people can take a shot at it. Thanks! On to the riddle…

Though I’m only a few months old, my skin is as knobby and wrinkled as a grandfather’s. 

You only see me when my fat cousins wear faces. 

I have a long neck, but no head, and belly full of seeds. 

What am I?

21. Extreme geriatrics

I flee light, and I love it too.

My friends are fierce heroes and monsters, architects and all-powerful kings. Don’t be fooled by fancy titles though, we’re really just particles flowing down a drain.

When people look at me, I help them forget how big they are.
